About the Sustainable Hardwoods Network

Sustainable Hardwoods Business Directory

Welcome to the Sustainable Hardwoods Network

Northern California's native coastal hardwoods such as tanoak, black oak, and madrone produce high quality hardwood lumber. The Sustainable Hardwoods Network consists of locally-owned wood products manufacturers, contractors, retailers, and non-profit organizations sharing a commitment to ecologically sustainable forest practices that support the long-term social and economic well-being of our north coast communities. Our wood comes from local land managers, keeping our money local and helping to support our local economy. Local ownership and value-added products ensure maximum jobs and community benefits from sustainably harvested resources. Our goal is to pass on a stable, growing and productive tradition of restoration, sustainable forest management and high-quality wood products manufacturing to our children and grandchildren.
